A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

If you remember a dream on waking, write it down or record it by voice. Later, compare it with your life. I do not know what every person’s dream means, so I will not fit one answer to everyone from a single scene. Understanding requires knowing the person’s circumstances.

Under stress, YOYO dreamed of running without being able to go fast and of traveling in extremely fast vehicles. I faced considerable study pressure earlier and later took dreams of school as reminders to examine recent stress. These were personal understandings from comparison with life, not a rule that school dreams always reflect the same pressure.

In conversation, fellow practitioners also shared dreams of fighting alongside divine troops, understood through faith as spiritual work. Experiences differ. One dream cannot establish what unseen work someone is doing. More information is needed to understand its images and feelings together.

Emotions deserve review too. YOYO remained concerned about not properly saying goodbye to a friend and repeatedly dreamed of the person, even crying in dreams. She hoped one day to explain herself and say a proper farewell. This was her experience, not a single relationship behind every crying dream or one solution for everyone.

Even after graduating and working, I once repeatedly dreamed of not receiving my diploma, only remembering on waking that I had long graduated. Looking back, I had feared failing and being unable to graduate and demanded much of myself. Recalling classmates and older students who faced exams or delayed graduation without constant tension also taught me to relax. That was my process of understanding stress through dreams, not proof of identical causes for similar dreams.

Discussing dreams in the seventh lunar month, Dao Xuan also said she records them first. Some feel like possible reminders on waking; others remain unclear and are kept for later observation. I have also said some dreams concern daytime thoughts. Not every dream immediately needs an unseen explanation.

She dreamed of protecting others with Dao Jing and of people recounting their experiences. Through faith, we considered whether these might remind us of ceremony preparations or beings needing help. But these were dreams and interpretations then, not proof that a real-world incident depicted in a dream had been established.
