Communication and Boundaries
Does recording a medium’s account in a thesis mean it has been proven?

A statement does not become established simply because it appears in a thesis. Faithfully recording what an interviewee says and determining what the reported experience actually involves are separate matters.
I have read theses on cultivation and spirituality in which researchers interviewed mediums, then organized and compared their accounts. From my own practice experience, I sometimes understand cases differently and ask what the claimed abilities and energies actually involve. This is my religious judgment while reading, not a claim that research differing from my views has no value.
Reading others’ experiences still requires learning and discernment. Someone displaying unusual abilities and someone else writing about them do not remove the need for questions. Ultimately, practice should develop our wisdom, not merely supernatural abilities. What matters is what we genuinely understand after reading, rather than treating an interview as the answer to every question.
