A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Within faith practice, copying sacred texts brings attention to visible words rather than continually following perceptions. I discussed asking a client to focus on Sheng Zhen Men’s disciple guidelines within Fu Mo teachings, using the words for positive thoughts while trusting the Bodhisattva’s help and companionship.

Looking back, the voices gradually diminished and disappeared. That individual experience cannot promise the same for everyone who hears voices. The text was our particular version, not identical to every work called Disciple Guidelines.

Change takes time. Difficulties accumulated over years need not resolve in one attempt. Religious practice supports while life pressures and practical problems still need facing. I also reminded people to follow medication prescribed by doctors. Gradual inner steadiness and receiving appropriate care can happen together.
