A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Whether help comes from divine blessings or your own opening wisdom need not become a contest over which is stronger. A more rational-minded person may say worship awakens oneself and one ultimately solves the problem. Through our faith experience, we also genuinely feel divine support. First consider whether the learning provides support and helps you move toward something better.

That does not mean a little feeling removes the need for judgment or makes all religious actions harmless. Clearly consider your life’s direction and actual gains.

A fellow practitioner shared that, rushing to prepare a work proposal, she first settled herself, explained the task to the Bodhisattva, prayed for care, and focused. Then she contacted suppliers for information and organized the structure, feeling her thinking become smoother. This may be understood as ideas arising through calm or as support through faith. I think the two may interact, while research and preparation still cannot be omitted.
