A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. Handling an early case of spiritual interference, I recited Guanyin’s and Kṣitigarbha’s names but felt the force strike stone and fail to go out, while the person kept laughing. Drawing a divination lot gave a hint, leading me to consider another direction. This was part of how I later encountered devotion to Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun, the Heavenly Worthy Who Relieves Suffering.

That situation does not mean compassionate sacred names are universally ineffective. I also introduced Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun and the nine-headed lion, encouraging interested people to learn the sacred name and praise invocation and respectfully request help when needed. It was my experience of practice and seeking divine assistance, not a procedure guaranteed to work once without considering circumstances.
