A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Alongside a wish to help, a Fu Mo practitioner needs sufficient power, physical strength, and endurance. Cases can involve a long struggle rather than one decisive movement. Intervening without enough strength may fail to help, anger the other party, and affect you instead. These capacities develop over time, without a shortcut of a few days.

We hope to transform matters through love and reach resolution, beyond attacking or expelling anything unseen. Understand what the other party needs, why they cannot let go, whether the person concerned repents, and whether guidance is accepted. Then judge how to communicate or when to change methods. I have described placing hands on someone to guide energy in professional cases. Beginners cannot copy this and assume equal ability.

Good intentions do not prevent being affected. Handling negative energy can also give me stomach pain or discomfort, so ability and caution remain essential. Discussing Buddhist amulets and Kuman Thong reminded me that even after years of practice and professional service, I still have things to learn. Matters between the living and unseen worlds require continued care; seniority is no reason for complacency.

This does not say all outside teachers are bad. Practitioners and those seeking help alike should understand sources and abilities rather than trust attractive packaging or promises of rapid fulfillment. Kindness matters, but effective handling also needs real strength and judgment.

Care for the body too. We act through a physical body, and ill health or frequent sickness can limit what we can do. While learning religious practices, consider whether you can bear the actual work. Do not pursue spiritual power while neglecting health.

Looking back on my work, caution matters greatly. From the beginning I never dared imagine myself overwhelmingly powerful. Learn foundations, think through how each case proceeds, and prepare responses to changing circumstances. Also retain a vow to help and willingness to understand suffering. Methods, training, and compassion are learned together; good intentions cannot replace preparation.

YOYO said helping with Sheng Zhen Men's work often uses spiritual energy, and insufficient practice makes rituals more demanding. They therefore chant and meditate beforehand, preparing before helping. This is serving religious workers' understanding of their own condition, not permission for beginners to perform a few practices and work alone.
