A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Can every mistake in life wait until next time to be corrected?

We cannot treat every mistake as something to leave for next time. Some can be corrected; others may leave consequences that are very difficult to reverse after a single act. Sometimes we knowingly continue in the wrong direction and become trapped in repeated mistakes. Before choosing, consider consequences instead of assuming you could not be that unlucky.

When correction is possible, genuinely change once you understand; you need not remain forever in self-blame. But where serious consequences or harm to others are possible, 'I will change later' cannot justify trying it once. I discussed young people seeking quick money, taking the wrong path, falling into debt, and still looking for a way out through the same behavior. Their actions need to change, rather than merely hoping the next result differs.

Everyday irritability and small mistakes also deserve attention. I have used 'demons amplify negativity' as a reminder not to ignore something because it seems minor, then act in an emotional moment in ways we later regret. This is a spiritual metaphor and personal reminder, not a formula or grounds for assigning the same cause to every conflict or violent incident.
