A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. Giving teachings means sharing sound ideas and life experience learned, bringing understanding and courage for difficulty. Giving fearlessness uses ideas, methods, or actions to reduce fear and steady the heart. Giving includes these forms beyond financial donations.

Anyone can begin without first becoming a Fu Mo practitioner. Clearly share experience genuinely lived and learned and sound ideas that help someone leave negativity. Through observing, listening, and learning, they may find a direction not previously considered. In faith, Guanyin Bodhisattva is also called the Bestower of Fearlessness. When frightened or unsettled, one can recite the Bodhisattva's name and seek protection.

Rui Yi shared initially emphasizing personal cultivation, then seeing a group practically help more followers and wishing to contribute. Feeling another's suffering like our own and being willing to help is the shared compassion we discuss. Seeing earth as one family extends concern beyond ourselves. Helping with this heart also helps and develops ourselves without continually calculating returns.

Be alert to claims that only one figure can save you. Every deity has abilities to help, and promoting one group need not deny other deities and Buddhas. Even divine teaching before us cannot help if we refuse to listen or change. Moving forward still depends on willingness to understand and change.
