How should a prosperity seal be used, and does a digital image retain meaning?

In my faith, a seal is a person’s identifying mark, not merely a name carved into material. Emperors used imperial seals and officials official seals; the impression represented the person and responsibility. I understand the connection between name and seal through that cultural recognition.

Use a completed prosperity seal rather than keep it stored. Examples discussed included personal or company contracts, bankbooks and prayer documents. A name and seal on a prayer strengthen its representation of you. A receipt stamp only acknowledges receipt and serves another purpose. Actual document procedures depend on the other party, not one seal accepted everywhere.

Dao Xuan asked whether frequent email use allowed scanning a seal into a signature. I said yes, because it is still being used to represent you; digital form does not remove that meaning. This concerns faith connection, not identical legal validity for all electronic seal images.

Using a seal on prayers for under a year, Dao Xuan felt greater openness in affairs. Personal experience prompted thoughts in that 2021 conversation of offering it to others in need. This was feeling and a service idea, not a guarantee of fortune. Seal blessings and renaming notices to Heaven, earth and ancestors both express care and connection, but differ. A seal without renaming does not announce a new name to ancestors.
