A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

We may not know the future, but love and gratitude available now need not always wait. Let parents, partners, colleagues or animal companions know at suitable times. My son and I also say ‘I love you’ to each other, which is a very positive strength. Earlier reserve may make speaking embarrassing, but people we can still cherish deserve to hear our care.

Actually schedule time for important things too. With practice, however busy life is, find methods and balance for exercises. Knowing something matters without doing it never brings it into life. Frequency can differ, but valued things need a real opportunity for application.

Treasuring now does not pretend painful history never happened. Near one year’s end, I reminded people both to appreciate past events and face past problems. Whether liked or not, what has passed cannot be repeated. We can understand present circumstances, adjust thoughts and actions with real changes, and think and act for life ahead.
