A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Listen

Not every lesson requires personal hardship before learning is possible. Others’ paths can show where caution is needed. After listening, reflect on what you learned and whether you can actually notice it in a similar situation.

If you made a mistake, willingness to repent begins facing it. But saying there is still a chance cannot dismiss seriousness; past choices still bring responsibility. Discussing a fashion-design dispute, I distinguished legal questions for professionals from personal choices and willingness to face events afterward. Repentance cannot guarantee identical results for everyone.

A lifetime allows limited personal experience, so I read news and magazines and listen to stories. Seeing what others encounter and how they respond adds understanding. Reading and traveling offer a comparison: basic knowledge plus lived experience broadens how we see things. Looking, listening and learning should bring clearer thought and responses next time, beyond merely knowing more.
