How can we respect different affinities when someone dislikes or disagrees with us?

Some people understand your direction, while others cannot accept it for now. You need not require everyone to agree immediately or like you. Relationships naturally involve different feelings and affinities.

With my children’s religious participation, I tend to allow things to follow their affinities rather than require active attendance at every event. Families have different educational approaches; I care about the child’s own relationship with this path. Share your thoughts while recognizing their feelings. Agreement does not arise through demands alone, and affinity is certainly not a way to grade people.

Different backgrounds, ideas, and outlooks can naturally produce different views of the same matter. First fulfill your own responsibilities and be accountable to yourself. Every disagreement need not become something that must be reversed.
