Deities and Faith
How does Sheng Zhen Men communicate with spirit soldiers, and what does Lord Bao’s chain-cutting case describe?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
We first explain to the person what we understand, then communicate with the soldiers believed involved. We offer a choice of returning to their original place for practice or learning with Sheng Zhen Men’s deities. Some wish to stay; others fear the original place will object. We do not handle every case identically.
Once, with Lord Bao assisting, Dao Xuan saw spirit-generals’ painted faces. During reception, I felt the being wished to stay but could not and then saw chains at the feet. Lord Bao cut them with a sword so the being could practice with our deities. We later checked through divination blocks.
Afterward Dao Xuan also described severed chains and a falling face pattern, revealing darker ghostly energy leaving with soldiers. The account described face changes, not armor. Corresponding perceptions deepened my feeling of divine help, but this was religious-service experience, not science.
I also wondered whether chains meant the being had been dispatched and remained linked to its original place, rather than having escaped. Could taking energy be involved? These were still uncertain, not knowledge of its task. Perception and later conjecture must remain distinct. An unusual story does not make unknown details known.
Another approach explores the deity originally connected with the being. If its commander was Xuantian Shangdi, his help may aid communication; learning under the Third Prince would suggest exploring that relationship. We cross-reference chess readings and perceptions before choosing methods, not follow a formula from one name.
