Can blocking spiritual perception prevent unseen interference long term?

Temporarily covering perception is not necessarily the best or longest-lasting method. We previously tried shielding sensitivity, sometimes for one, two or several months. Later conditions or frequent places of energy conflict could naturally reopen it. It remains the person’s original energy, so immediate closure is not the only consideration.

Some religious methods cover the whole person with energy to block harmful interference. In my understanding, without sufficient ability for finer work, this can also limit the person’s energy. “Ghosts cannot find you, and neither can deities” was my comparison: blocking interference may also obstruct divine help.

As I know and have experienced it, “covering the soul” names an energetic shielding ritual intended to protect. I underwent it myself. But I am not a scholar of folk religion, and my understanding is not the sole definition everywhere.

I used “protecting life, not fortune” to describe the limitation. Afterward I felt able to get through but life was low and difficult. With later energy understanding, I said I would not choose it again. Other ways of averting adversity exist. Understand your condition and need first.

Dao Xuan’s story concerned souls and a contract with another practice place as I understood it then, differing from ordinary soul-calling after fright. My comparison concerned intended protection also bringing restriction, not every sensitivity block or temple being identical.

Another person seeking help later mentioned having a temple close sensitive abilities three years earlier. On that occasion we explored the matter together, including Dao Xing’s and Dao Xuan’s perceptions in the judgment. Every image cannot be described as something I personally saw. This led to further discussion of protection and restriction, not a claim that everyone undergoing soul covering has the same experience. We still need to understand what was done and the current condition.

In an early introduction, I discussed that kind of rite lifting its covering at New Year when annual fortune changes. That described a method then, not automatic expiry of every blocking ritual at New Year. Method, source and individual conditions matter more than temporary lack of feeling alone.
