Spiritual Cultivation and Movement
Does innate-spirit awakening happen all at once, and how can I observe greater clarity and ease?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
Innate-spirit awakening is not complete simply because one strong sensation occurred. It is a gradual process of knowing yourself, understanding inner needs, and coordinating them with life's reason and responsibilities. Body movements and perceived images are parts of experience, not proof that every lesson has been passed.
By opening spirituality, I also mean restoring the soul's original qualities. In faith, some Fu Mo practitioners return to work familiar across lifetimes, rather than creating ability from nothing in this life. Mediumship also involves soul qualities; forcing study and desire does not give everyone that capacity. This is a religious perspective on mission and lifetimes, not a declaration of your past life. Students learn through doing and apply learning through action, beginning with foundations rather than powers alone. Without strong perceptions, you can still learn chess divination. Do not demand another person's mediumship performance of yourself.
If beginning practice leaves you suppressed or uncomfortable, understand the cause rather than claim greater suffering means a more advanced level. Some need a teacher's guidance; others need to clarify matters they have continually avoided. Everyone's pace and expression differ, so there is no need to chase others' experiences.
What deserves greater attention is whether you are clearer and more stable, and can distinguish your original self from outside interference. Awakening does not make you a deity or immediately qualify you to serve others. Foundations, practice, humility, and care for body and emotions remain necessary. Learning is meant to make life clearer, not burden you with a special identity that makes you afraid even to rest.
A strong sixth sense and sensitivity to energy also need separate understanding. Calling spirituality active does not mean fully awakened. Feeling more is different from communicating with your own spirit. One accurate intuition need not mean completion, and continually chasing new perceptions is unnecessary to confirm awakening.
My experiences are also only part of cultivation. I still examine whether life is growing in a better direction. If learning brings more suffering and worsening circumstances, identify and adjust the problem. Having perceptions does not make everything correct.
Humility matters too. If spiritual contact leaves only thoughts of your own greatness and others' inferiority, look back at yourself. Master Ji Gong said every deity is a good friend. I understand this as each having value and teaching work. Helping people genuinely learn matters more than continually comparing whose title is grandest.
