Spiritual Cultivation and Movement
Does intense spirit-led movement mean higher attainment?

Larger or stranger movements do not mean greater attainment. In my teaching experience, original-spirit movement should move toward naturalness, flow, comfort, and mental clarity. Persistent twisting, blockage, pain, or loss of control calls for stopping to understand, not dismissing the issue as an advanced state.
Nor can one movement establish the distinction. Beginners may need teachers or fellow practitioners to observe interaction, stability after closing practice, and ordinary condition. Everyone differs. You need not pursue the electrical sensation of one of my experiences or another person’s formation. Physical discomfort cannot receive only a religious explanation.
I also value discernment and courtesy in interactions during movement. If a teacher considers external influence possible, understand self-protection without deliberately provoking or openly mocking anyone. Knowing how to run does not make an Olympic champion: beginning movement does not establish strong energy or automatic protection. Ask questions and explore with teachers and others. A stern tone does not necessarily establish greater understanding.
Closing practice needs learning too. Do not casually draw every feeling back in after movement. Nor should stronger perceptions after leaving the center prompt gestures of sword fingers, exorcising for others, or challenging unfamiliar places. Practice requires limits, foundations, and teachers’ care. Honestly report discomfort instead of enduring to prove ability. Keep observing whether you become clearer and life steadier.
Dao Xing described change from rapid early movement to greater steadiness, showing progress need not mean increasing intensity. This does not require everyone to move slowly; consider clarity and natural practice and interaction.
