A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Deities and Faith

What deities give may differ from what you most want immediately. In my experience, different personalities and stages receive different guidance: some direct instructions, others gradual exploration. Another person’s clear answer does not mean you have been neglected.

Yet not every person’s words are divine commands. Understand the reasons, whether you gain clarity, and how they fit actual conditions. Someone saying “the time has come” cannot replace preparation and responsibility, force major changes, or bypass learning.

If results differ from expectations, examine what you insist on, whether you have tried, and whether to change direction. Faith should foster responsibility and growth, not remove judgment. Keep unanswered questions and gradually explore rather than quickly labeling every event divine intention. Responsibility and choice remain yours.

YOYO shared feeling disappointed when Master Ji Gong’s online teachings changed from weekly to monthly, briefly wondering whether he disliked us. She knew he said other work required attention. Gradually adjusting, she reviewed earlier videos and lessons. That was her feeling then, not actual divine dislike. Fewer meetings can also mean continuing to learn and apply existing reminders.

Praying for wealth may bring an idea or helpful person before a later opportunity rather than immediate money. I used a computer as an example: wanting one kind but receiving another, then finding its usefulness for audiovisual work. Our vision often stops at the immediate present; future preparation may differ from present desires. This does not guarantee every prayer is exchanged for something better.

Sometimes the gift is not an object but new understanding and strength to continue through a difficulty. Through faith I regard such changes as gifts too. Faith’s value need not depend only on immediately receiving money or a relationship.
