Life, Death and Ancestors
Will everyone necessarily reunite with family in heaven after death?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
In my religious understanding, reunion with every family member after death cannot be guaranteed. Each person has their own work, attachments and destination. Being one family in life does not mean all follow the same path afterwards.
I do not agree with making the other world too simple, as though everyone naturally reaches heaven and joins family upon returning. Though reassuring, this overlooks many different circumstances. Without understanding, do not guarantee every deceased person’s destination.
In my faith understanding, some may remain attached to former people and circumstances, while others need guidance and assistance. Family’s deeper emotional connection can make perceptions and opportunities to care more likely, but that does not mean only family can help.
I have dreamed of deceased relatives and perceived messages during religious service. These experiences make me believe the deceased still have their own road. Yet no dream or perception does not establish they are doing badly. Those remaining can hold remembrance and blessings while living well, seeking understanding if needed rather than determining unknown matters beforehand.
