Leaving an unsuitable job does not necessarily waste that time. Recognising unsuitable work and incompatible people is understanding gained through the experience.

I recounted Guan Sheng Di Jun’s reminder: after six months, discovering a company, supervisor or colleagues unsuitable may feel wasteful. But taking that time made the situation clear. Carrying the learning onward offers more than counting losses.

This does not mean drifting and serious effort yield equally. Even when a job ends, genuine engagement may develop experience and friendships. Besides income, recall what you understood and learned. These need not disappear upon resignation.

Recognising gains can accompany deciding the next step. Once unsuitability is clear, move forward with that understanding rather than negate every earlier effort because you did not remain.
