Starting Spiritual Practice
How does a beginner’s spiritual writing differ from receiving a deity to provide services?

First distinguish personal practice from receiving a deity to perform spiritual work. For beginners, I generally understand spiritual writing as practice, submitting an assignment, or allowing spiritual expression. Producing such writing does not establish that deliverance is occurring or that something has already been completed for a deity.
Like a student writing many pages of a report, we still need to know what the assignment teaches. Beginners writing together in spiritual cultivation should not automatically be equated with confirmed divine spokespersons actively providing services.
Even when I produce spiritual writing during ordinary spirit-induced movements, it may be my own practice, awakening spirituality and strengthening connection with the soul’s feelings. When performing work while receiving a deity, I instead understand it in terms of conveying divine meanings and instructions. The same person still needs to distinguish what is happening at the time.
So when someone says “This is practice” or “This is spiritual work,” do not conflate them based only on the writing. Understand the purpose of that exercise, the participants’ state, and the intended task before interpreting its meaning.
