This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. No. I explain the “Nine” in Jiutian Xuannü through Daoist heavenly numbers and the Nine Heavens, not nine sisters. Understanding a deity’s title requires considering its original meaning, rather than inventing a story simply because it contains a number.

Of course, some spiritual cultivation accounts use nine dragons and nine phoenixes to discuss connections between people. That belongs to a different level from the name’s origin. References to sisters there do not allow Jiutian Xuannü to be divided directly into nine people.

When introducing Jiutian Xuannü, I also discussed the traditional religious story of her receiving Xiwang Jinmu’s command to help the Yellow Emperor oppose Chiyou and teach techniques. In our spiritual lineage, Jiutian Xuannü is an important guiding deity. This relationship likewise cannot be understood only through jokes in online imitation videos.
