A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

A client’s willingness to come, entrust their questions to you and accept your assistance is itself an expression of trust. To me, receiving thanks and payment is something to be grateful for. Doing the work for a long time should not make it seem automatic or deserved without appreciation.

When I first read for friends, I was happy if I could offer some direction and help their lives. Some also gave red envelopes, making me feel how good it was to help others and receive their support. Later, working in this field full time made it even clearer that the road would not be easy without everyone’s encouragement.

That support also includes people who listen to the programme, leave comments and exchange ideas with us. Their encouragement is part of what sustains our willingness to share. Remembering this helps us look beyond how much we ourselves have done and humbly treasure every contribution.
