A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Having a connection that brings a meeting does not leave only one possible path afterwards. From the perspective of faith, I value connections and also the choices after meeting. Whether to develop the relationship and how two people interact still require our own actions.

During military service, I met a woman working at a convenience store. From chatting while shopping to later writing letters, we gradually became acquainted. Without that letter, the relationship would not have taken another step. But we were not actually dating then. Later I met another woman and chose to pursue her, so I did not continue developing things with the shop assistant.

Looking back, that meeting entered my life, but choices remained afterwards. Choices at each stage influence the road ahead. So after sensing a connection, consider the next step: what you will do, how you will relate to one another and whether you are willing to accept the consequences of that choice.
