A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. In my experience taking friends to try spirit-vision rites then, I had not heard of someone entering and never returning. That statement is limited to what I encountered at the time; it does not remove the need for understanding and judgment.

Friends described trees, grasslands, temples, houses, and sometimes deities. Observing reactions and hearing descriptions felt unusual to me. Yet images and feelings differed, and one person’s experience cannot become everyone’s expected outcome.

Select the actual ritual practitioner carefully and understand their character and ability. If news reports trouble after participation, examine what happened. Events occurring successively do not automatically establish one common cause.
