A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Does a medium receiving more deities necessarily mean better practice?

Not necessarily. What matters for a medium is connecting with the deity received and understanding their virtues, not continually increasing the number.

In my experience, focusing more clearly on a corresponding energy makes understanding and handling it easier. Deities with similar qualities, such as martial generals, may be easier to work with. Very different qualities require examining whether you can integrate and receive them. Wanting to receive all does not make it automatically unproblematic.

Different deities assist me at different times and in different matters. Sometimes Master Ji Gong is central; sometimes it is Lord Bao, King of the Underworld. This also makes each energy easier to understand. Instead of counting deities, examine whether you truly understand and connect well with them.
