Stories of Sheng Zhen Men
Why do I often record podcasts by talking directly without a word-for-word script?

Because I want people to hear our actual everyday thoughts. Before recording, we usually have a main point to discuss, but do not write and rehearse every sentence before reading it aloud. Once the equipment is ready, we begin talking about the subject and naturally express our current ideas and feelings.
This follows the same direction as facing ourselves sincerely in practice. We share how we ordinarily think and act, and what we learned from divine teachings, rather than merely considering how to make words sound elegant. Things personally experienced feel especially grounded to discuss, and I hope listeners can feel that.
Recording alone and chatting with several practitioners each have their own quality. Alone, I focus more on clearly explaining knowledge and ideas. Together, there is more exchange. People were busy with work then and could not always gather, so the recording arrangements were flexible.
This is how we chose to present the programme. To me, what matters is whether we face ourselves honestly and clearly share understanding gained along the way. What listeners hear is connected with our ordinary thoughts and lives.
