A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

One practical reason is that clients need to know what to pay. Under voluntary giving, some feared embarrassment from too little and could not afford too much, asking for a range. Clear fees help both sides judge.

Materials, time, labour and daily living have costs. Continuing to help requires sustainable conditions. Pricing aims to meet basic costs while remaining affordable to those in need. This differs from measuring divine strength by price.

Some matters involve disciples for hours, and we explain content and fees beforehand. Genuine financial difficulties can be raised so assistance is considered. Fixed prices still allow compassion; voluntary giving does not remove costs.
