Stories of Sheng Zhen Men
Why does Master Shengyuan want to leave the program for his children and future listeners?

Without a record, the things we have learned and the experiences we have lived through are not easy for those who come later to discover. I want to leave more than an account of what I did. I also want to preserve what I was thinking and what I learned from the teachings of the deities and Buddhas, so that my children, later disciples, and others with a connection to us have a chance to hear it.
Sometimes while recording the Podcast, I think that I am also recording it for my own children and descendants. Those working together now are this generation of Sheng Zhen Men disciples, and one day we will all leave. By preserving our voices and experiences, those who come later will have a chance to understand how the people before them traveled this path.
The program is like a diary that records the history of its time. Besides recording, I also hope to share what I have learned through writing and publishing. When I spoke then about preparing a book on Chinese chess divination, it was part of this same intention: to let ideas that can help people continue beyond a single conversation in the moment.
When we had recorded over four hundred episodes and were approaching five hundred, I also thought how special it would be if I could still hear my present voice ten or twenty years later. Recording our experiences and learning each day is like writing a diary together with everyone. It preserves the feelings we had and the stories we encountered, so that people who come later can look back on them too.
