An early friend producing television programmes accumulated debt through business and cash-flow difficulties and often came to talk. I supported him and asked the Bodhisattva for protection so he had strength to face what followed.
Later I directly reminded him that conversation was fine, but he also needed to consider new programmes or plans. Without work and income, daily encouragement could quickly be consumed by worry again.
He later started a new programme and invited me to visit the set. This showed me the need to connect divine support with practical action. Stabilising life also means seriously facing possible work and income sources.
