Deities and Faith
If there are no special instructions after a ritual, or only a short reply, does that mean it was not handled carefully?

Not necessarily. The length of a reply alone cannot tell us whether the work was done seriously. The ritual process and whether there are additional reminders need to be understood separately.
Dao Xuan shared that sometimes a reminder received is very short, saying only that the person needs to adjust their thinking. When she asks whether more detail can be given, the response may indicate that the person should come to understand it themselves. She therefore passes on what she has confirmed honestly, without adding words the deity did not say merely to make the answer appear richer.
Sometimes there are no additional instructions and only purification is carried out. That does not immediately mean something was overlooked. Fellow practitioners explained that they still continue checking during the process and then report the messages they understand. Clearly state what was communicated and how much you understand. Many words cannot substitute for an honest account.
Dao Xuan also said that rituals to remove harmful interpersonal influences do not always involve visions. Sometimes the work is ordinary, while other times there is a reminder to convey. She once recounted a deity’s advice to parents: when children encounter friendship problems at school, they can talk with family at home rather than keep everything inside and guess others’ thoughts because they do not understand. Replies vary according to what is understood on each occasion. Special visions are not a requirement for serious work.
