A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. Why did I learn a feng shui compass after already assessing homes through chess divination?

I wanted to clarify what I did not understand. Early home assessments used readings, directions, and perceptions. Meeting experienced colleagues using compasses made me curious about the tool's principles.

I originally could not read one. Seeing widespread, longstanding use suggested something worth exploring rather than rejecting through ignorance. When an opportunity arose, I studied with a teacher.

Learning still needed testing. I first examined my own, family, and friends' surroundings against actual conditions, considering strengths and adjustments. Like early divination research, feedback built experience. Only after personal understanding and perceived correspondence did I serve clients.

For me, the lesson is learning the unfamiliar, then applying and comparing to continue learning. I did not know everything initially, nor rush to serve before understanding.
