A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Starting Spiritual Practice

Did I tell early clients when I had never performed a ritual before?

Yes. An early prosperity inquiry prompted an idea, and I directly said I had not performed that rite. I could try helping and ask for later feedback.

As a first attempt, I set no fixed fee and invited voluntary contribution. The client later reported more projects after a week. I was pleasantly surprised and learned from the experience. That feedback does not promise identical results on the same timetable for everyone.

I understand early requests as divine opportunities for practice and experience. Perceived help builds confidence, while untried areas still need honest disclosure. This concerns early history. Voluntary payment was that occasion's arrangement, not every current service.
