A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Even without an ideal candidate, differences can be compared. Choosing the lesser of two harms means considering relative suitability among imperfect options. Everyone having faults does not make every choice identical.

Dao Jing shared assessing whether someone works seriously and willingly serves. Miao Nian noted that different parties contain people genuinely wishing to serve the public. I agree that wise judgment matters because elected people’s decisions affect everyone’s lives.

I compared apples and guavas each having spoiled portions to explain relative choice. Compare actual differences rather than judge solely by party. A practitioner also said that, despite ordinarily paying less attention, approaching a choice prompted learning, asking people nearby and consulting election notices. Greater understanding allows clearer judgment.
