Deities and Faith
Does a client feeling encouraged prove that a message came from a deity?

Clients’ feedback matters, but when I faced this question back then, I truly could not prove to other people where the information came from. At that time, I did not yet have clear spiritual perceptions. I could not claim to know something I did not know simply to defend myself.
A fellow female practitioner questioned how I could be sure that divination information came from the Bodhisattva when I had not received a divine mandate and orders in the way she considered necessary. I was quite nervous at first. Later, looking back, I saw that clients felt more positive after talking and had gained hope and strength to face their difficulties. I also knew that my intention was to help people. From these responses, I came to understand the support behind the work as likely to be positive.
This describes how I judged the matter at that time. It does not mean that one favorable comment can prove the source of every message. Spiritual practice also requires looking at what we actually do and whether we help people, rather than merely arguing about whose status is higher. If we do not know, we should still say we do not know. Where we can make an effort and examine our actions, we should continue doing so in practice.
