A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

Disaster alone would not make me conclude that deities abandoned humanity or want destruction. Through divine compassion, I understand a wish for beings to learn and move positively, so I believe help and education continue.

During the pandemic, Noah’s Ark and the Golden Mother’s descent prompted discussion. They evoke destruction and salvation, but I also identified them as myths and transmitted accounts rather than proof of actual events. They were offered for reflection.

People often learn only after problems, which saddens me without implying divine disregard. Kṣitigarbha’s teachings help me see mistakes through ignorance and change through understanding. Education and assistance therefore remain important.

In life, make preparations and care for body and mind. Difficult surroundings still allow responses, goodness, and hope. Faith supports facing things beyond continually asking why deities have not corrected everything.
