Deities and Faith
If a palanquin follows a deity’s intentions, why must people carry it?

Palanquins naturally need carriers; they do not walk when left on the ground. In my religious understanding, divine energy expresses through physical people and objects. Human participation does not conflict with the faith’s idea of divine guidance.
I once wondered why powerful deities needed teachers or mediums as spokespersons. Later I understood a medium as a bridge translating and presenting unseen energy to people. Comparisons with a phone receiving signals or a computer needing operation help make this relationship imaginable.
I have said the lead person senses energy and guides the palanquin through walking, stopping and movements. Some mediums speak directly; others express through palanquins or spirit writing. These are my observations and explanations of religious activities, not a basis to identify everyone from who stands in front.
So asking why people still carry it deserves discussion. Explaining relationships between people, deities and media helps understanding more than immediately calling the question disrespectful.
