Deities and Faith
Why approach deities in everyday faith rather than only ask when problems arise?

Faith needs everyday closeness and accumulation. Gratitude in smooth times and remembering deities in difficulty keep the connection within life. Do not completely forget when things go well and urgently demand an immediate answer when they do not.
I often compare the relationship with friendship. Regular contact and familiarity make connection easier when help is needed. Deities are compassionate and may protect even unfamiliar people, but we may fail to recognise or accept their help. That is another reason to understand the deity we believe in during ordinary life.
Religion can steady and support people. If you have faith, let it accompany daily living while doing your own part. Gratitude and closeness need action rather than verbal claims of devotion.
Like fitness or language learning, occasional practice without use builds little; continued use develops familiarity. Cultivation also needs focus and gradual learning. Constantly changing places and encountering much without deeper study may leave you unchanged years later. This encourages concentration, not rejection of other beliefs.
In my faith understanding, energy also has habitual direction. Approaching and knowing your deities in life directs the heart toward them, and departure from this world follows that connection toward their world. Activities, worship and group practice bring belief into life rather than leave it spoken only.
