Deities and Faith
Will deities refuse to help someone working in nightlife or adult-entertainment industries because of hardship?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
Deities still care and help. Working in these industries does not make them stop loving a person. Some enter through family hardship or because they temporarily lack other livelihood skills. We can understand these difficulties, and so can the deities.
But deities hope people move toward purity and light, reducing troubles and leaving suffering. When life improves and change becomes possible, do not keep trapping yourself in desire. They offer strength, rather than claim to help while encouraging deeper pursuit of desire for more money.
People who have done wrong can also turn back. I have mentioned news stories of people leaving harmful conduct and later becoming clergy who help others. What matters is genuinely stopping harm and changing. Hurting people with one hand and doing good with the other does not cancel them out. In my faith understanding, karma from harm remains to be borne, while helpful deeds are a separate matter.
Whether work has social status and how its environment feels are also separate questions. I have discussed crowded, enclosed places where desires interact, and how long-term workers may be affected differently from occasional visitors. This is my religious energetic perspective, not a judgment of everyone's physical or mental condition based on occupation alone.
If leaving is not yet possible, maintain appropriate limits in your current role. A person with faith may share constructive ideas in places ordinary teachers seldom reach. Help where you can while working toward a calmer, suitable life. Learning need not wait for a job change.
