A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. In our religious understanding, wearing it does not prevent divine approach. Originally a ritual master's implement, it is also made in small protective forms. Proper consecration theoretically connects divine strength rather than keeps deities outside.

Dao Xuan relayed a friend's consultation where removal was demanded because good deities supposedly could not approach. I questioned this: even a problematic object needing attention does not make approach entirely impossible. Another person's statement alone cannot turn an existing protection into the root of problems.

We were not present and discussed inconsistencies in the retelling with our understanding. The specific object's state still needs separate inquiry. Doubting an explanation also does not authorize altering talismans or damaging objects yourself.
