A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

They are not the same. Understand the home first. In our service, clearing residual harmful energy differs from settling an attached deceased person still there. Cleaning the space without understanding whether someone remains or why they resist leaving may leave matters incomplete.

Deliverance needs communication. Saying there is a better place does not automatically produce trust and willingness to follow. The deceased may remain attached or want to stay, requiring time for reassurance and explanation. Beyond performing a ritual, consider actual help toward a better direction.

The home’s layout also matters. Adjust what can be changed, but serious harmful influences affecting occupants may still call for moving. I discussed this with a rental whose layout seemed to attract unseen beings. Clearing a space and addressing a severe layout problem involve different considerations.

My paternal uncle died at home after rising at night for the toilet and collapsing by its door. The exact circumstances could no longer be established. I performed a small deliverance rite and later purified the home, seeking completion through care for both deceased and space.

Conversely, completed deliverance does not establish that all energy left at a place is cleared. Discussing major casualty sites, our experience suggests fear and suffering may leave imprints. Consider both settlement of the deceased and the scene’s need for purification rather than assume one action covers both.
