We invited him because friends often sought divine support for relationship difficulties. Some come for themselves, others through parental concern. Explain wishes and actual circumstances clearly. Choosing the right day does not remove the need to face interaction.
Parents worried about a child's partner may pray that an unsuitable bond end peacefully and a good one have room to arise. Practitioners also emphasized avoiding direct obstruction and harsh words. Caring does not permit deciding who must leave, or asking a deity to control others' feelings according to personal preferences.
