Spiritual Cultivation and Movement
Why do people seem born with different personalities and talents?

From my perspective on spiritual cultivation, human differences can be understood through the soul's experiences across lifetimes as well as visible growth in this life. Some are sensitive to language; others enjoy singing or dancing. I regard these talents as possibly influenced by past learning and experience. This is my faith-based understanding, not a claim to have identified which lifetime produced every person's abilities.
Family and upbringing in this life also influence us. When discussing the innate spirit, I have distinguished current learned ideas from accumulated inner experiences, which may not be identical. Understanding the difference helps self-knowledge. It does not mean invoking a past life and omitting how we grow and choose in this one.
Awakening the innate spirit and recovering original abilities in practice is also gradual exploration. I compare it to waking after a long sleep and progressively recovering memories, not instantly knowing every past life and skill upon awakening. Gradually developing perceptions through practice and drawing close to connected deities and Buddhas is how I introduce this method. Everyone cannot be required to progress identically.
Understanding your tendencies ultimately returns to how you live this life. Even if you sense an inner wish for practice, you can also want family and romance and choose a life you consider suitable. I hope people understand themselves better and gradually align their inner wishes and actions, rather than feel a claimed talent means life can follow only someone else's prescribed direction.
