Work and Money
Must prosperity bowls be opened and individually passed through incense for blessings?

Not necessarily; at least that was not our approach on one visit. At Zinan Temple, many prosperity bowls and ingots were packed in suitcases. We originally expected to take them out onto an offering table or pass each through incense.
Crowds left no table space. During Master Ji Gong's service, guidance instead said not to open the cases, expressing discreet wealth and gathering prosperity energy. Blessings therefore occurred through the luggage, unlike my original assumption that everything must come out.
I share this to emphasize understanding the purpose at the time. A particular visible action is not always required for something to have meaning. Keeping cases closed then does not forbid opening every bowl later, nor make others wrong for using incense.
For your own object's worship and blessings, first explain its source and circumstances, then ask about suitable methods. One journey's arrangement cannot become a rule everyone must always follow.
Prosperity bowls can also have different purposes. Some emphasize concealing prosperity energy; attractive glass bowls may remind and gather intention. Our tradition has discussed both. Examples include high cabinets, low cabinets, and floors, depending on purpose and placement. Do not memorize only concealment or visibility. Work, saving, and everyday life still need your effort after obtaining the object.
