Sheng Zhen Men’s first command flag began with an unusual early divination experience. In my first year, unrelated clients over two or three days asked about relationships, work, money, and home, yet repeatedly revealed red and black soldier pieces.

I wondered aloud why soldiers filled the sky. The words suddenly brought heavenly troops to mind, and I began considering whether the Bodhisattva was reminding us to make a flag. Further consultation and confirmation came before making our first one.

Earlier tellings included my memory of asking with moon blocks. Much later, I could not clearly recall whether that particular confirmation used blocks or a layout. I did remember consulting the deities again.

A religious-supply shop happened to be nearby. I asked whether it could make the flag, sketched an approximate design, and had the shop arrange production. That was how the first began.

For me, repeated similar messages in different clients’ readings gradually became understood. I did not simply act on the first thought: observation, reflection, and renewed consultation all occurred. Consider the full process rather than treating soldier pieces as an instruction to make a flag every time.
