Can a divine mandate be withdrawn if it is not practiced?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
It may be withdrawn, it may simply become invalid, and some people may never have genuinely received it in the first place. We need to consider the particular circumstances and the approach of the deity granting it. Merely hearing the name of a mandate does not mean that it must remain valid forever.
In my understanding, receiving a mandate also means accepting work that needs to be completed. When you already have the ability and the wish to help others, a deity’s recognition and support are intended to enable you to do that work. If you receive it but continually do nothing and never put the work into practice, you need to ask yourself why you sought the mandate in the first place.
From an energy perspective, having an ability but leaving it unused and untrained for a long time will weaken that energy. When asked whether a mandate could be withdrawn, I first compared it with a licence in the human world. I also explained that, viewed in terms of energy, it might be more like becoming invalid directly. However, that is only one explanation. We still need to consider the different possibilities of withdrawal, cancellation and never having genuinely received it.
If you do not know what you have actually received, begin by looking at your own ability and aspirations. Do you really know how to do the work, and are you genuinely willing to do it? Rather than going everywhere to receive more assignments, first carry out the responsibilities you have already accepted. That is what gives the mandate its meaning.
