Does seeing ghosts with yin-yang sight necessarily mean seeing deities too?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
Not necessarily. When someone claims yin-yang sight, I first ask what they see. In my faith experience, deities and ghosts have different energy frequencies. Seeing ghosts need not mean seeing deities, and the reverse also need not hold. One label cannot combine every perceptual ability.
Dao Xuan described a black shadow passing during a gathering, followed by a board outside a pillar cracking and falling. Others heard the sound without seeing that shadow. We discussed how different people may more readily sense different energies. I have not encountered the distinctly formed shadow she described.
Another person seeing what you do not need not become a comparison of ability. Distinguish their perception, what others jointly saw or heard, and later interpretation. This avoids combining different experiences.
High and low frequency are my way of explaining religious perceptions. Seeing one shadow cannot establish a particular deity or kind of spirit, much less directly determine character or cultivation. Actual circumstances still need careful understanding.
