How does connecting with the divine through one's own nature differ from connecting only with external spirits?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
Connecting with the divine through one's own nature begins by awakening the innate spirit and understanding the inner soul. External-spirit communication concerns connections with deities or other unseen beings. Sheng Zhen Men teaches these matters to encourage real growth in wisdom and one's own being, beyond waiting for outside messages without moving forward.
Channeling methods also differ. I have described traditional mediums with deities descending directly onto them, and some spiritual mediums doing likewise. Sheng Zhen Men's description involves adjusting one's own frequency to resonate with a deity and express its energy.
Similar-looking channeling cannot erase differing methods and explanations. Nor should pursuit of the identity of divine representative replace asking what you actually learned and whether genuine understanding and growth occurred.
I also call this direction communicating through one's own nature: awakening spirituality and connecting with one's nature and source. External spirit is relative to oneself, including deities because they are not one's own spirit. This does not equate deities with negative interference.
I call mediums' use of divine strength to help people an expedient method, without denying its role. The reminder is to practice beyond service too. Less exposure to external-spirit risks does not guarantee every exercise safe or every course participant identical perceptions.
