A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

No. Discussing a 'spiritual explosion' does not mean everyone has identical feelings or abilities. I raised it because clients and friends increasingly reported knowing people who could see or sense spiritual things, a phenomenon I felt worth understanding.

We also drew on Western esoteric ideas to discuss apparently greater sensitivity among people born in certain periods. This reflected what we had encountered then, not a basis for determining constitution from birth year. I also said such people might exist abroad, while Taiwan's environment may pay more attention and discuss these matters. It is not unique to Taiwanese people.

Even people all claiming perceptions may experience and interpret very different things. Teachers themselves sometimes disagree about the same question. Understanding yourself requires specific experiences, rather than an era's label deciding your identity and abilities in advance.
