Deities and Faith
Why do powerful deities still need spirit communicators to convey messages?
English translation draft · Based on the Chinese article. This is not a word-for-word translation approved by Master Shengyuan.
Ability and the need for someone to convey a message differ. In my religious understanding, deities have no human body and not everyone senses their energy or hears their voice. A communicator resembles a translator, expressing perceived meaning in understandable words.
A capable person visiting a different-language place still needs translation without losing ability. Even shared language may not make unfamiliar concepts understandable. Conveying messages therefore requires not only being heard but explaining within the listener’s understanding.
Wise parents cannot answer a child’s exam or run for them. Inability to substitute does not mean lack of ability. Likewise distinguish divine assistance from what people need to experience personally.
A fellow human explaining divine meaning often feels closer to listeners’ lives. I see that as the communicator’s purpose. But understanding, serious learning and accumulated wisdom still require separate consideration. Conveying messages does not mean knowing everything.
