A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. Should teachers always answer parents’ LINE messages immediately?

A parent sending a message does not mean a teacher can answer immediately. Concern about children at school is normal, but convenient phone contact does not require teachers to remain constantly on call for every issue in every household.

My child’s teacher said some messages would not receive immediate replies. Matters concerning students’ education would be handled, while other things had their own response arrangements. I have also heard of teachers not establishing parent groups and asking parents to contact them through school. Communication methods vary. No immediate reply does not establish lack of care for students.

Parents can certainly learn about their child’s situation and need to communicate with teachers. My reminder is to think together maturely about helping children learn and develop character and emotions, rather than threatening or pressuring whenever something happens and handing all education to teachers.

Teachers face many students and the parents behind each, making the work genuinely difficult. Educational issues do not only require parents to change; policy and support for teachers also need thought. We can begin by communicating and cooperating well and encouraging those teaching children seriously.
